Serving on stage at Revelation Generation Music Fest is a great opportunity that is intense and exciting. As a volunteer, you will make it possible for professional sound and lighting personnel as well as headlining musicians to deliver to the best of their ability. Last year's stage crews were diligent, hard-working people who MINISTERED to the people who do this for a living; RevGen was distinguished even among other Christian music festivals for our service. The unseen work before, during, and after the festival allows maximum impact for the event.
We are asking stage volunteers to be available during the day on Wednesday (8/27/08), Thursday (8/28/08) OR Friday (8/29/08). During these days, the stage crew goes through a limited amount of training with professsional supervision and will set up the stage, lighting, and sound equipment. These days before the show will also help you get acclimated to the setting in which you will serve.
Stage crew volunteers also meed to be available late Saturday (8/30/08) night to help dismantle all sound and lighting equipment to the point of HAVING IT PACKED UP IN THE TRAILERS before we leave. It is a lot of work, but it is enjoyable and we laugh a lot.
Loading and unloading bands is an important, but smaller part of this ministry. Though you will need to be available for Friday night and all day Saturday to help with band set-changes, you will have a limited number of bands that you actually serve. A lot of your time during the performances will be off-duty and yours to enjoy the festival. We will ask you to identify the bands that you want to see and ask that you serve around those times.
The professional work space of the musicians, lighting and sound personnel will be guarded; no one will be allowed on stage without a stage wristband/tag.
Volunteer Requirements
- Prior experience in the area of Stage and Sound work.
- Exhibit a good Christian attitude AT ALL TIMES! Be positive!!!
- Willing to fulfill your time commitments and be available for an entire shift.
- Personal references will be required.
